Welcome to the Independent Cat Society's TNR Squad's page. So far, our Squad has "fixed" almost 800 cats since May 2007.
We'd like to announce our very first National Feral Cat Day event: Shelter building for Feral Cats! National Feral Cat Day is October 16th, and on the following Sunda, October 18th, at 10:00 am the ICS TNR Squad will be assembling Styrofoam cat shelters for caretakers to use this winter. These houses are extremely insulated and will provide feral and free-roaming cats with warm and toasty shelter for the winter. If you are interested in shelters for your cats, stop by for an hour or two on that day to help build your own shelter. Or just come by to see how it's done. We will have some styrofoam on hand to make shelters for elderly or challenged caretakers, but feel free to bring your own sheet if you are able. One 4 foot x 8 foot by 2-inch thick hard styrofoam sheet can make 2 shelters. The only other materials needed are one tube of 100% silicone caulk per shelter, and a few inexpensive stick-on floor tiles for the bottoms of the shelters. If you have any questions about this event, please email icstnr@comcast.net.Please keep checking back for updated content on this page. In the meantime, check out this video!:Back to ICS Home Page:
